Molly Meldrum and Derryn Hinch sign the ‘THANK YOU FOR THE MUSIC’ book

Legendary Australian music guru Molly Meldrum and talkback radio supremo Derryn Hinch were given the special honour of being the first to sign the ‘THANK YOU FOR THE MUSIC’ book. The book, launched in Melbourne this week, will be presented to ABBA later in the year. More photos ....

IPL - MUMBAI INDIA

March 2010

Björn Again were thrilled to be specially invited to perform at the world’s 3rd biggest sporting event - the IPL (Indian Premier league) mid March 2010. Bjorn Again performed at the gala ball with A list event that included Bollywood stars and the best cricket stars in the world, and also at the Opening Ceremony. The band were mobbed everywhere they went in Mumbai and when they first appeared on the ground at the stadium just before going on the crowd went ballistic. More photos ....

TARONGA ZOO TWILIGHT CONCERTS SYDNEY

February 2010

Björn Again performed their 8th straight year at the Taronga Zoo Twilight concerts which many fans describe as the ‘best outdoor concert setting in the world’.

Despite constant rain for over the 3 days, it didn’t stop the band’s committed fans from attending all 3 soggy shows.







SOUTH AMERICAN TOUR JANUARY 2010

June 4th 2009

Björn Again performed their very first tour of South America in January 2010 with concerts in Buenos Airies Argentina, and a 7 cities in Chile. Fans were ecstatic on finally seeing Bjorn Again and the reception was incredible. A highlight was having much loved singer Andrea Tessa perform with the band singing Chiqitita in Spanish to the delight of the audience. The band were extremely shocked to hear about the earthquakes in Chile, only weeks after they returned from there.

Björn Again appeared on the top rating Australian news program ‘A Current Affair with Tracy Grimshaw” on June 4th 2009.

This was reporter Howard Gipp’s third feature on Björn Again - the previous ones being 1991 and 1995.







BJÖRN AGAIN TURN 20 !

Congratulations to Björn Again on the 20th Anniversary of the band’s first ever show - which was back in Melbourne in 1989. John Tyrrell would like to sincerely thank all those who have supported the band over all these years, and thanks to those who have sent congratulatory messages and emails on this landmark occasion.







20th ANNIVERSARY TOU

Dates for Björn Again’s 20th Anniversary Tour have been announced and are on sale NOW. These concerts signify Björn Again’s 20th Anniversary since their first show in Melbourne in May 1989.

Extra 2pm matinee shows have been added so that children and families may attend.

TARONGA ZOO SYDNEY - TWILIGHT CONCERT SERIES

February 2009

This is probably Björn Again’s favourite events to play at in the whole world - fantastic audiences with picturesque Sydney Harbour in the background. All 3 shows sold out with the Saturday show selling out in 15 minutes late last year.







THE SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE

June 28th 2008

On Saturday June 28th, Björn Again performed 2 shows at the Sydney Opera House, one of the most famous and most prestigious concert venues in the world. Björn Again performed a completely revamped show with 2 contrasting sets - a ballad set and a rock set - which were well received by the audience. The show featured ballads never performed before, including ‘Slipping Through My Fingers’, a poignant song from the ‘Mamma Mia’ movie. Many people loved the unplugged version of Dancing Queen, which may be released later in the year. The second set was a full-on non-stop dance party that had the whole Opera House singing and dancing along like never seen before. What also set this unique show apart is that for the first time ever the band featured an extra 7th performer on stage - Hans Down DeBlouse - who played sax, clarinet, flutes and percussion - which added a very new and refreshing dimension to the show.



BIG GAY OUT

December 2007

The gay community’s answer to BIG DAY OUT is without doubt ‘BIG GAY OUT’ which takes place in Brisbane each year. Thousands of ‘dancing queens’ packed into central city area of Brisbane to see Björn Again perform.
